The appointment has been widely received across Chikun LGA and beyond as a well-deserved recognition of loyalty, competence and years of dedicated service to the All Progressives Congress, APC and the people of Kaduna State.
The Councilor representing Chikun Political Ward in Chikun Local Government, Honorable Peter Bala Chikun joined family members, friends, well-wishers and political associates in celebrating the appointment.
Speaking during the celebration, Hon. Peter Bala commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani for recognizing a tested and trusted APC political figure from Chikun Local Government.
He said, the appointment of Hon. Umar Barde is a clear demonstration that hard work, loyalty and commitment to party ideals do not go unnoticed. Mr. President and Governor Uba Sani have made the right choice by entrusting him with this important national assignment.
Hon. Peter Bala expressed optimism that the development will add significant value to the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani and will further strengthen the All Progressives Congress, APC in Chikun, Kaduna State, and Nigeria at large.
He described Hon. Barde as a seasoned administrator and politician with vast experience in governance and public service.
According to him, people believe that the four-time member who represented Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber, Abuja, will live up to expectations in discharging his duties. He will bring his wealth of experience to bear in repositioning the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission for greater efficiency and service delivery.
The Councilor called on the people of Chikun Local Government, Kaduna State and Nigerians at large to support the new Chairman to enable him to make a clear and progressive difference in his leadership.
As he assumes this new responsibility, the councilor urged all stakeholders, labor unions and government agencies to cooperate with him. His success will be the success of the entire country because the commission plays a critical role in salaries, wages, and income policy.
Hon. Peter Bala also reaffirmed his commitment and that of the people of Chikun Ward to continue rallying round the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani.
He assured that the grassroots will continue to mobilize support to actualize their re-election for a second term in order to consolidate on inclusive governance and the delivery of the dividends of democracy.
He further said, the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu and the People-Centered policies of Governor Uba Sani are already touching lives. With appointments like this, our people are seeing that they are part of the government and that gives us more reason to work harder for the party.
Hon. Umar Yakubu Barde is a prominent APC chieftain from Chikun LGA. He served four terms as a member of the House of Representatives representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency. During his time in the National Assembly, he was known for his legislative experience, constituency projects, and commitment to youth and women empowerment.
His appointment as Federal Commissioner of the NSIWC is seen by many as a reward for loyalty and as an opportunity to bring his legislative and administrative experience to bear on national wage and salary administration.
The celebration in Chikun LGA continues with prayers, goodwill messages and calls for the Federal Commissioner to use his office to promote fairness, transparency and improved welfare for Nigerian workers.
