Former Igabi Federal Constituency representative and All progressive Congress (APC) stalwart, Honorable Mohammed Abubakar Mamadi, cautioned politicians aspiring to various positions within the party against relying on automatic tickets.
During an interactive session with APC stakeholders who paid him a visit in his Rigachikun' resident, he emphasized that conducting primary elections would bring much-needed sanity to the party and significantly enhance its chances of victory in upcoming elections.
Abubakar Mamadi urged Kaduna State APC leadership particularly Governor Uba Sani to consider holding primaries for certain positions.
This, he said, would effectively test the popularity of aspirants who have worked diligently for the APC and genuinely engaged with the people.
He noted that those seeking automatic tickets are often the very ones undermining the party, hiding behind the governor's administration which is focused on delivering tangible benefits to the people.
Honorable Mohammed Abubakar Mamadi stressed that founding members of the APC who have been instrumental in its growth and development should be considered and rewarded with party tickets.
This, he said, would enable them to continue strengthening the party's capacity and uphold the image of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani's leadership.
He highlighted that the first set of APC figures in Igabi Local Government Area as exemplary party stalwarts who prioritize the people's interests and are committed to protecting the APC and democracy.
Mamadi assured the visitors that APC founders and supporters in Igabi will remain steadfast in their efforts to ensure President Tinubu and Governor Sani secure their second terms in office.
He urged the stakeholders to remain focused, committed and united in their efforts, emphasizing that this was crucial to recording more successes for the APC at all levels in the forthcoming general elections.
