The Founder of IRM Grassroots Mobilisation for Uba Sani and Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Honorary Adviser to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State on Humanitarian Affairs, Malam Ibrahim Rilwan Muhammad, has commended Governor Uba Sani for the distribution of 500 trucks of free fertiliser and mechanised agricultural equipment to over 150,000 smallholder farmers across Kaduna State ahead of the 2026 wet season farming.
Reacting to the intervention, Malam Ibrahim described the initiative as a bold and timely investment in the state's agricultural sector, noting that it reflects Governor Uba Sani's unwavering commitment to improving the livelihoods of farmers and strengthening food security in Kaduna State.
He observed that agriculture remains the backbone of the state's economy and the primary source of livelihood for a significant percentage of its population. According to him, the Governor's sustained efforts in supporting smallholder farmers over the last three years have continued to yield positive results, leading to increased agricultural productivity and economic empowerment across rural communities.
Malam Ibrahim further stated that the administration's consistent budgetary allocation to agriculture is a clear demonstration of Governor Uba Sani's determination to alleviate the hardships faced by ordinary citizens through people centred and farmer friendly policies.
He stressed that the provision of free fertiliser and mechanised farming equipment will not only reduce the cost of production for farmers but also enhance crop yields and contribute significantly to the state's food security agenda.
The IRM Founder praised Governor Uba Sani for prioritising agriculture as a strategic tool for economic growth and poverty reduction, adding that the intervention will have a lasting impact on thousands of farming households across Kaduna State.
He urged beneficiaries of the programme to make judicious use of the agricultural inputs and equipment to maximise productivity during the wet season farming cycle.
Malam Ibrahim reaffirmed his support for the Governor's developmental agenda and expressed optimism that Kaduna State will continue to emerge as a leading agricultural hub under Governor Uba Sani's administration.
