Governor Uba Sani is putting smiles on the faces of residents of Buwaya Community in Chikun Local Government Area with the upgrade and expansion of their healthcare centre.

The project is aimed at improving access to quality and affordable healthcare services for the people which is in line with the health agenda of the Senator Uba Sani-led administration.

The health facility was originally constructed over a decade ago by the Buwaya community through a self-help initiative to provide basic healthcare services to residents. Over the years, the centre became overstretched and could no longer meet the growing health needs of the community and surrounding villages.

With the intervention of the Kaduna State Government, the Buwaya community will soon join other benefiting communities in enjoying the dividends of Governor Uba Sani’s healthcare intervention programme. The upgrade includes expanded wards, new equipment and improved facilities to handle more patients.

Speaking during an inspection of the project, the Community Leader, Mr. Yakubu Mudu said the people of Buwaya are in a joyous moment witnessing the upgrade and expansion of their local health facility.

He commended Governor Uba Sani and the Chairman of Chikun Local Government Council, Engr. Nuhu Salasi Musa for their listening ear and quick response to the yearnings of the masses.

Mr. Mudu also applauded the Member representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Felix Bagudu, the Member representing Chikun Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly Hon. Jesse Adalo and the Councilor representing Kakau Ward Hon. Danladi Dogo Makama for their support and people oriented representation.

The community leader further promised that residents will continue to give all the necessary support and cooperation to government in its quest to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

When completed, the upgraded hospital will provide healthcare services not only to Buwaya, but also to neighboring communities including Karatudu, Unguwar Madaki, Sauri, Unguwar Waziri and Unguwar Doma among others.
