Two illustrious sons of Ikulu land and traditional title holders, Chief Ayasal Anthony Wazirin Ikulu PhD and Alhaji Yusuf Isma’ila Ashafa Sardaunan Ikulu PhD joined the Executiven Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, to receive the Award of Excellence from the Association of Nigerian Universities Alumni (ANUA)
The award ceremony was held at Kaduna State University (KASU) during the 2nd Quarter General Assembly and Symposium of the Association.
The event brought together alumni, academics and stakeholders to celebrate service, leadership and contributions to national development.
During the session, the General Assembly also congratulated KASU on its 20th anniversary. Members commended the university for two decades of excellence and its remarkable contributions to the education sector in Kaduna State and beyond.
The awardees were recognized for their outstanding societal service particularly in advancing education, youth empowerment and community development. Their consistent support for learning institutions and mentorship of young people earned them this honor.
In their separate remarks after receiving the award, Chief Ayasal Anthony PhD and Alhaji Yusuf Isma’ila Ashafa PhD, expressed gratitude to ANUA for the recognition. They noted that being honored alongside the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani was a privilege.
Both leaders promised that the award would inspire them to do more for their people. They pledged to continue investing in education and community development to secure a better future for society.
Speakers at the occasion congratulated the two PhD holders from Ikulu land and urged other prominent indigenes to emulate their example by supporting people in their respective communities, stresseing that true leadership is measured by service to humanity.
