The clove production training programme for farmers in Kaduna State has kicked off with a one-day session at the office of the Clove Producers, Processors, and Marketers Association of Nigeria, Kaduna State chapter, located on Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Kaduna
This initiative aims to equip farmers with the necessary knowledge and techniques for successful clove production, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria's agricultural sector.
Farmers from Igabi local government area, known for its fertile land, participated in the training, which is a prerequisite for those interested in embracing clove farming.
The training will enable them to access farm inputs and support, paving the way for a successful harvest.
The participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity, acknowledging the potential of clove farming to transform their lives and communities.
This initiative is a result of the efforts of the Clove Producers, Processors, and Marketers Association of Nigeria, Kaduna State chapter, whose officials recently underwent training at the Institute for Agricultural Research (IAR), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The training has generated significant interest among farmers across 23 local government areas in Kaduna State, with thousands expressing interest in participating in clove production.
