KSMC Chairman Denies Resignation, Describes Report as False and Misleading

KSMC Chairman Denies Resignation

The Chairman of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) Management Board, Yakubu Lere El-Sa’ed, has firmly denied reports circulating in some quarters that he has resigned from his position, describing the claims as “malicious, false, and misleading.”

In a statement released to the public, El-Sa’ed said he had neither stepped down nor considered resigning from the role, emphasizing that he remains fully committed to his responsibilities as chairman.

“My attention has been drawn to a malicious, false, and misleading report alleging that I have resigned my appointment as Chairman of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) Management Board,” he stated.

He further clarified that he continues to carry out his duties in line with the mandate of the Kaduna State Government and has no intention of abandoning the post.

“I wish to categorically state that I have neither resigned nor contemplated resigning from this appointment. I remain fully committed to the responsibilities entrusted to me,” the statement read.

The chairman accused unnamed individuals of fabricating the story to misinform the public and stir unnecessary speculation about the leadership of the state-owned media organization.

Describing the publication as the handiwork of “mischief makers,” El-Sa’ed urged members of the public to ignore the report entirely and rely only on official communications regarding the corporation’s affairs.

He also reassured stakeholders that the KSMC leadership remains focused on strengthening the corporation and advancing reforms within Kaduna State’s public communication sector.

“We remain focused on strengthening the Corporation and supporting ongoing reforms in the public communication sector of the state,” he said.

The statement concluded with a prayer for divine guidance and protection for all citizens.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official announcement from the Kaduna State Government indicating any change in the leadership of the KSMC Management Board.
