APC Chieftain in Kudan, Shamaki Kauran Wali Decries Council's Chairman Selfish, One-Man Show Governance

Alhaji Umar Lawal Shamaki Kauran Wali, a prominent APC stalwart in Kudan Local Government area has expressed deep disappointment and concern over the leadership style of Malam Iliyasa Abba, the council chairman of Kudan Local Government.

Honorable Shamaki Kauran Wali described the leadership of the council chairman as a "one-man show" that is not in the best interest of the people, alleging that it is driven by selfish motives and controlled by an individual who is more interested in advancing personal agendas than serving the community.

He expressed dismay that the council chairman has relocated the administrative activities of the local government to Kaduna, citing that the "Boss" is shunning his office in the secretariat located in Hunkuyi the heartbeat of the local government.

According to him, this is a clear indication that the chairman is not committed to ensuring effective governance instead prioritizing personal interests over the welfare of the people

Shamaki Kauran Wali lamented that the leadership style of the council chairman is a far cry from the inclusive and participatory governance promised by Governor Uba Sani's administration which emphasizes carrying everyone along and ensuring inclusive leadership.

He noted that the actions of the chairman are damaging the image of the APC in Kudan Local Government and undermining the efforts of the party's bigwigs, including Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, Alhaji Sadiq Hunkuyi, Alhaji Abbas Likoro, Hon. Junaidu, Former  council chairman Honorable Shu'aibu Bawa Jaja and Alhaji Salisu Ten-Ten who have been working tirelessly to promote the party's agenda and ensure its success in the area.

He stated that these party leaders are the only shining lights of APC in Kudan Local Government and are they ones who can be trusted by Governor Uba Sani to deliver the party's promises to the people.

According to him, they are working round the clock to restore the glory and popularity of APC in the area which has been damaged by the present council chairman and his associates.

Umar Lawal Shamaki  emphasized that the truth, though bitter, must be told, and that the situation in Kudan Local Government is a result of poor leadership at the council level.

He urged Governor Uba Sani to intervene and call the council chairman to order, warning that if the situation is not addressed, it may lead to a complete erosion of the confidence reposed in APC by the people of the area and potentially lead to resistance.

He assured that middle-level APC figures in the area will continue to align with the party's bigwigs and mobilize support for Governor Uba Sani's administration working towards the dividends of democracy for the people of Kudan Local Government.
