The Ikulu National Youth Wing has elected new executives to lead the association for the next three years. The election, which was held in Kamuru Ikulu, was peaceful, credible, and fair, with hundreds of Ikulu youths from across Nigeria in attendance.
The results of the election are as follows:
- Chairman: Destiny Madauchi (29 votes) defeated Agibi Salvester (26 votes) and Malam Umar Ashafa (13 votes)
- Vice Chairman 1: Julius Joseph Jatau (unopposed)
- Vice President 2: Thomas Shedrack (49 votes) defeated Na'Allah Gaiya (15 votes)
- Secretary General: Obadiah Moses (39 votes) defeated Barnabas Darius (35 votes)
- Provost: Julius Dominic (50 votes) defeated Friday (15 votes)
- Treasurer: Haliana (41 votes) defeated Ayuba (16 votes) and Joseph (15 votes)
- Financial Secretary: Favour (55 votes) defeated Kunama (8 votes)
- Social Director: Kamuru (50 votes) defeated Bege (14 votes)
- P.R.O 1: Blessing Kuka (40 votes) defeated Elisha Michael (23 votes)
-P.R.O: Dogara (unopposed)
The Agwom Ikulu, His Highness Sunday Bature Likoro, expressed delight with the inclusive process. He challenged the new executives to ensure inclusive leadership, defend the integrity of Ikulu land, and support the Chiefdom's progress.
He assured that the Ikulu Chiefdom will work together with the youth wing to project the Image of Ikulu land and it's people.
In his acceptance speech, the new National Chairman, Mr. Destiny Madauchi, thanked the Ikulu Chiefdom for its support and promised to deliver positive results.
He urged members to work together, share ideas, and avoid unnecessary criticisms to achieve their goals.
Madauchi said his door is open for any meaningful criticism and useful advice in order to live up to expectation in discharging their duties.
Earlier, the outgoing chairman, Mr. Moses Ma'aji, congratulated the new leadership and promised to support them throughout their tenure.
