More Grace Football Academy, based in Benin City, Edo State, officially unveiled 35 new players on October 14 at the club’s headquarters. The unveiling marks a major step in the academy’s preparations for the upcoming Nationwide League One (NLO 1) campaign.
During the ceremony, the President of the academy P.I.A OBASEKI reaffirmed the club’s commitment to competing strongly in the new season. He emphasized that the unveiling represents not only the growth of the academy but also its readiness to make a mark in Nigerian grassroots football.
Head Coach Sherif Habibullahi expressed confidence in his squad, stating that the players are physically and mentally prepared for the challenges ahead. He described the team as a blend of young talents with the hunger and discipline needed to succeed at the national level.
Coach Habibullahi also disclosed that the team will participate in a scouting program scheduled for November 11 in Abia State. The exercise, he said, will provide an opportunity to assess the players further and strengthen the squad ahead of competitive fixtures.
The unveiling ceremony attracted football enthusiasts, local scouts, and stakeholders from the Edo football community, who commended the academy’s dedication to player development. The event concluded with high optimism as the players pledged to uphold the academy’s values both on and off the pitch.
