In a significant step towards fostering harmony and sustainable peace in Kaduna State, Governor Uba Sani has this Monday chaired an interactive session with religious and traditional leaders drawn from various communities across the state.
The event, held at the Umaru Musa 'Yar'adua Hall, Murtala Square Kaduna, aimed to deepen collaboration among stakeholders in addressing security challenges and promoting peaceful coexistence among the state's diverse ethno-religious population.

The session brought together key Islamic and Christian clerics, traditional rulers, community leaders, and representatives of civil society organizations to discuss how to strengthen dialogue mechanisms and foster mutual respect among different ethnic and religious groups.
In a Keynote address, Governor Uba Sani reaffirmed his commitment to peace-building and inclusive governance, attributing the successes recorded by his administration in the last two years to the peaceful coexistence being enjoyed in the state.
The governor called on religious and traditional institutions to serve as catalysts for conflict resolution and community cohesion, emphasizing the significance of unity to the socio-economic development of any society.
Participants at the session commended the state government’s inclusive approach and pledged to intensify grassroots sensitization efforts on peaceful co-existence.
On his part, the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli highlighted the role of traditional leaders in bridging divides, emphasized the need to guide the people towards understanding and tolerance.
Highlights of the event include presentation of awards to the Governor by some religious organizations for his outstanding performance in promoting harmonious coexistence in the state.
